MY KITCHEN
The open kitchen and dining area with its long wooden table truly is the heart and soul of my hotel. Its warm atmosphere will embrace you, inviting you in to enjoy coffee with a home baked ‘little something’. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked and served by me in the intimate setting of the dining area. The table setting is tailored to my guests with evident attention to detail and promising little surprises. My style of cooking is “home kitchen” inspired from traveling all around the world and my love for international cookbooks – simple tasty food.
MY DINING
Booking your lunch/afternoon tea or dinner in advance is always warmly recommended.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast is served in the open kitchen dining room or in the garden, if the weather allows it. Breakfast consists of seasonal fruit and vegetables, organic dairy and meats complemented with warm bread, homemade jam or marmelade and my style eggs of the day. Coffee, tea and freshly squeezed juice are included in the price.
AFTERNOON TEA
Afternoon Tea is served with freshly home baked cakes and cookies. You may enjoy the tea in the upstairs lounge, downstairs in the open kitchen area or outside in the garden. I have been baking since I was a little girl and it is the most important meal of the day, if you ask me.
LUNCH
Lunch consists of a open sandwich or salad/cheese. I ́ll be happy to make a pasta if you prefer a warm lunch. All ‘The Monica’ style depending on season. A take-away basket is possible for the sunny days. There is no fixed menu but it is possible to talk to me about any preferences.
DINNER
Dinner is a two course meal, changing on a daily basis, using local organic seasonal vegetables and greens. It is also possible to have charcuterie, olives, caviar and exquisite cheese, which is always available. Complementing the dinner I have a superb choice of my favorite wines to choose from. Dinner is served at the long table in the open dining area or in the garden in the summer.
Last ferry meal – it will be possible for a light late arrival meal. For all meals the price will depend on the menu and varies accordingly. Please do advise of any dietary requirements or allergies in advance.
